UN report says biodiversity targets remain off track
Countries pledged at least USD 200 billion annually to reduce biodiversity loss.
A UN report says fewer than half of national biodiversity targets are on track. Even if current commitments are met, it finds that 26% of land and 12% of oceans would be protected by 2030, below the 30% target. COP17 in Yerevan is conducting the framework’s first global review.
