MEP proposes a ‘Switzerland plus’ model for UK-EU ties
Bernd Lange said the UK could pursue a Switzerland-style relationship with the EU, expanded to include political engagement, and that an agreement could be negotiated quickly. He also backed including the UK in the EU’s proposed Made in Europe legislation.
