South African deputy police chief Shadrack Sibiya resigns after charges
Shadrack Sibiya was arrested and charged with rape, people trafficking and child-grooming offences. He resigned during a disciplinary hearing and was dishonourably discharged; he denies the allegations and remains in prison as his bail application is postponed to October 13.
