Australia introduced a gas reservation bill requiring producers to sell up to 20% of export-intended gas domestically and targeting supply equal to 110% of actual needs. The scheme is expected to start in January 2028; Resources Minister Madeleine King says it will lower prices, while industry warns it could hurt investment and supply.
