National Institutes of Health

President Donald Trump signed an executive order creating a women's health division at the National Institutes of Health and a White House task force. The division must be established within 90 days and will broaden care and research beyond the NIH's existing women's health office.

Reports say Donald Trump is expected to issue an executive order creating a board that could approve or veto NIH grants based on administration priorities. Senators Susan Collins and Patty Murray oppose giving the White House control of grantmaking.
