Pope Leo XIV recovers after lung cancer surgery as trip remains possible
Pope Leo XIV was diagnosed with adenocarcinoma, a type of lung cancer, and underwent surgery to remove the lower lobe of his right lung. He appeared publicly four days later and said he would gradually resume duties; testing was underway and his Nov. 6-17 trip remained possible.
