Sustainable Development Goals

World leaders gathered during High-Level Week to review progress on the right to development and address challenges including inequality, digital exclusion and artificial intelligence. UN Secretary-General António Guterres presented the Sustainable Development Goals as a blueprint for fulfilling unmet promises.

A WHO and UNICEF report found that millions of children lacked basic drinking water, sanitation or hygiene services at school in 2025. Coverage improved from 2015, but the report said progress is insufficient to achieve universal access by 2030.
